An amazing place to book for your next getaway! It’s the perfect size for 4 people. The decor is light and fresh and clean- which means the space feels good. I sometimes have a hard time sleeping when I leave home- but not at Lucky Duck. The beds are SO comfortable and the black out curtains allowed me to sleep in which I never get to do. The shower pressure and amount of hot water was perfect and the towels are luxurious (I’m actually planning on buying some for my home). The kitchen has all amenities to cook meals and the couches are very comfortable too. The outside grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The ducks were so friendly! It was quiet and our family had a beautiful time together.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Lucky Duck!! From the greeting party of ducks to the beautiful scenery to the local guide book to the amenities provided (had everything!!), it was a perfect weekend get away. Being able to rejuvenate either sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee (or beverage of choice) watching the wild life to the walking around the few ponds, we felt right at home. Thank you for a peaceful, rejuvenating weekend away! We look forward to returning very soon!!

Most relaxing week of vacation we have experienced in a VERY LONG TIME. Great place to unwind. The fountain provides soothing white noise. Sit in the gazebo and read a book. Or sit back and soak in nature. The ducks, cranes, turtles and deer provide all the entertainment you need. Turn off the TV and head or the hills. Almost Heaven at the Lucky Duck! We will definitely come back. Thanks again for a great stay.

Sheris place was quiet, relaxing, and the perfect location. Close and short drive to everything. Restaurants and activities were amazing! The ducks were cute and the deck was a great place to spend time after a busy day! Stay here. You won’t regret it! Swallow Falls was a great place to hike.

This place is beautiful. There is a lot of detail and love put in to each room of this home. It’s so peaceful with great views. We were able to visit the Alpine Lake Resort just across the street, enjoying kayaking, biking. A wonderful experience all around! Thanks for letting us stay and we hope to visit again!

The apartment was great for 3 of us! It was very clean, updated and bright! The deck was a great place to watch the ducks in the pond and relax. We’d definitely stay here again if we get back to the area!!

I had a wonderful stay at Lucky Duck. It was just what I was looking for. The place is beautiful and is very close to Alpine Lake. I played golf each morning at the golf course. I enjoyed the cooler temperatures and local hikes. I was able to conveniently drive back and forth to Deep Creek Lake. It was just great.

Place was so beautiful and clean, and so very well designed. Felt like home but with much more beautiful outdoor environment. Loved the deck with the chairs and pond. Ducks were darling. Will definitely be going back again soon before fall and then for ski resort trips after that as well! Cozy, comfortable, and clean- You can’t beat that.

We will definitely be returning! Beautiful. Cozy. Relaxing. Our stay at Lucky Duck was wonderful! The place was clean and had all the basic amenities we needed to cook during our stay. Private and relaxing. Also located right next to the resort and not far from grocery.

The Bluebell Lake Cottage was absolutely beautiful. My family of five stayed here for the Christmas holiday, three adults and two kids.

We had a very comfortable stay at Blue and look forward to returning this spring or summer.

Bluebell was as advertised! Pictures and amenities were spot on. House was clean and very comfortable. Great location on the water, very peaceful and private. It is about 20 mins from closest restaurants so let us get out and explore a bit. (Recommend 3rd St Diner in Oakland for breakfast). Traveled with my wife and 2 young daughters - enjoyed hiking/walking the trails around the lake, fishing and relaxing at the firepit.

We had a fantastic long weekend at Sheri's place! We walked the 7 Bridges Trail right outside the cabin, kayaked both days and drank our tea on the deck every morning. It was a perfect getaway and I hope we can make it back sometime!

Sheri was very attentive and timely with all of her instructions! The cottage was cozy and well equipped, which made our visit to the area relaxing and enjoyable!

The perfect cabin for a larger family weekend gateway. The cabin is just as pictured; clean, spacious, and peaceful. The cabin also has plenty of amenities and games to keep everyone busy when it’s too cold outside. Sheri is very responsive and knowledgeable of the area and its amenities. She gave us great restaurant recommendations for our stay. Make sure you see the lake while you’re there and don’t forget to check the weather and pack/plan accordingly!

second time staying here for oktoberfest and was nicer then last year after updates.

The house was exactly as described. Beautiful surroundings. Alpine lake is always peaceful. Sheri was very responsive when messaged.

The listing was exactly as expected. Very nice space that was really private and quiet. For those planning to go to deep creek, it’s 40+ minutes. If you are just trying to relax, this place is perfect.

This get away is fantastic! We felt right at home and enjoyed kayaking and swimming. Host was very responsive and friendly.

Cozy Nest of Alpine Lake was perfection! We stayed with three children & three adults and had a very active schedule. The home had everything we needed and was the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. Clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with many nice touches. Highly recommend!

We spent two nights in this cabin over Christmas Eve, and it was a delightful experience. The cabin itself is charming and cozy, boasting an excellent location. The proximity to Alpine Lake, along with its expansive picnic areas, an 18-hole golf course, and the surrounding woods, adds to its appeal. Both bedrooms were well-maintained and clean, while the spacious loft area was a hit with the kids. The separate entertainment room was a bonus. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of utensils, sparing us the need to use our own. Ample comforters and pillows were also provided, enhancing our comfort during the stay. Overall, it's an ideal cozy retreat for spending weekends or holidays with loved ones. However, one drawback worth mentioning is the back deck. It seemed somewhat neglected and too much slippery. Additionally, the lack of functioning lights on the back deck was a concern. Overall a wonderful cabin to spend time with family and friends.

Our family adored Cabin Fever! We have four boys ranging in age from adult to first grade and each of them had a great time and felt at home. No one wanted to leave. The kayak was a huge hit. The back deck and forest was magical! Everything was clean, cozy and comfortable. Check in and out was easy and straightforward. Sheri communicated well and made us feel right at home. I'd love to make this an annual stay for the Buckwheat Festival!

Great stay! The cabin met all of our needs. We would stay here again.
